A lot of what I have is furniture, and not that easy nor practical to rid myself of; but there are some easy trinkets or purchases that were even a mystery to me that I can hand over to the Salvation Army without much effort or cost of replacement.
Pot holders. Yes. Even the pot holders... But, as you can see above, I got pretty good use out of these ones. I don't think the Salvation Army wants them as much as the trash does though.
Clearly I was in some lingonberry-induced haze when I picked up this item. It's a floor lamp, called the Jonisk. It's actually this kind of cool orb that emits a soft glow. But I've never found a place for it. I was going to donate it, but I just realized that it was $50! I've never really used it. I think I'll try Craigslist and try and build up some cash in the deikea fund!
These were given to me by a friend who purchased them at Ikea and decided later that they were more my style than hers. At the time time I wondered why, since I don't have much black in my place. Needless to say, after my ikea epiphany, I understand now. These will find a good home in the bric-a-brac section at the Salvation Army.
